Co-sponsorship Request Procedure
1) CONTACT US
- Submit a request form online: Cosponsorship request form
- If need it, you will be asked to present your idea to the PSEC Board. The board will then offer feedback.
2) DISCUSSIONS with Outreach Chair
- What is the goal of the event? What do you want attendees to take away?
- Who are you hoping to attract to your event?
- What time/place would be optimal to get the people that you want to come to your event?
- What do you need for the event to accomplish these goals (can be financial, material, intangible)
3) PLANNING AND EXECUTION
- The student group should take predominant action in meeting set goals, such as acquiring materials, marketing, and
advertising. We may be able to help with poster design on a case-by-case basis.
4) POST-MORTEM
- After the event, file reimbursements with ODUS paperwork and let us know the student group account number and the amount of
money that was spent.

What you should consider when submitting a request for your event
1) Type of event
- Organized by an ODUS student group
- Be open to the whole campus community.
- Activities: fun, learning (ie cannot be corporate related slash free food grab)
- Encourage some sort of community building, social interaction.
2) Scale of event
- Less than $500 is a small scale event
- Between $500 and $2000 is a large scale event
- $2000 is the limit
3) Degree of collaboration with PSEC
- Discussion about implementing event from a meeting or email exchanges (PSEC as a part of the planning process)
- Helping with navigating Frist policies
- Helping contact other student groups or key staff
- Quota for the number of times we can co-sponsor with a group
4) Amount of funding desired
- Case by case basis, but typically no more than $500
- Other funding sources: ideally you would also have other sources of funding unless the event is truly a collaborative planning effort
- Quota for the number of times we can co-sponsor with a group
- Food: if we feel that food will enhance your event, we may be able to provide that source of funding as well
